Connecticut NanoBusiness Alliance

CTNBA, founded by Vincent Caprio and Nathan Tinker, is the Connecticut chapter of the NanoBusiness Alliance, the first industry association founded to advance the emerging business of nanotechnology and Microsystems. The CT NanoBusiness Alliance's mission is to create a collective voice for the emerging nanotechnology community in Connecticut and develop a range of initiatives to support and strengthen that community.

With more than a decade of experience in nanotechnology business research, the founders of the Connecticut NanoBusiness Alliance have been deeply involved in nanotechnology economic development and have prepared similar reports for the States of Washington, Colorado, Illinois and New York, as well as the governments of Japan, Taiwan and Canada, among other clients. In doing so, they have developed one of the most comprehensive knowledge bases available on the current and future impact of nanotechnology in the US and around the world.

The founders are also responsible for the NanoBusiness Conference, held annually in New York City since 2001, and the SmallTalks nanotechnology symposia series. NanoBusiness is the largest conference in the world dedicated to the business of nanotechnology.

Finally, the founders of CTNBA are actively involved in state and local politics in Connecticut and, as residents and business people, have a deep understanding of the political, economic, workforce, education and development issues facing the State.
